International Mother Language Day celebrated on 21st February as the recognition of the great sacrifice of language martyrs. On 21st February, there will be general holidays in all the institutions of Bangladesh. A total of 1-day leave will be allocated here.

Birthday Of The Father Of The Nation

There will be public holidays all over the country on 17th March on the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. A total of 1 day holidays can be enjoyed here.

Independence Day (26 March)

The great Independence Day of the country is the National Day of Bangladesh. On March 26, there will be the public holidays 2020 throughout the country to commemorate the Independence Day. There will be a total of 1 day holiday to this day.

Buddha Purnima

There will be Public holidays all over the country on April 29 for the Buddha Purnima of Buddhists. However, this holiday depends on seeing the moon.

May Day

On May 1, there will be Public holidays all over the country on the occasion of the great May Day. Many people were died in police firing in Chicago due to the rights of workers movement on this day. There will be a total of 1 day holiday on May Day.

Jummatul Bida

On the last Friday of the great Ramadan, there will be a public holidays 2020 in all over the country on the occasion of Jumatul Bida. Jummatul Bida will be held on June 15 this year. There will be a total of 1 day leave on this occasion.

Eid Ul Fitr

EID UL FITR is the day of the biggest religious festival of the Muslims. On the occasion of EID UL FITR, there will be Public holidays all over the country on June 16. National Mourning Day

On August 15, there will be public holidays throughout the country on the occasion of death anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The total number of holidays for national mourning day is 1 day.

Eid Ul Azha

The probable date of the holy Eid-ul-Adha is on August 22. So there will be the holiday in this day all over the country. However, Adha’s holiday is dependent on seeing the moon. The total number of Public holidays for the festival of EID UL AZHA is 1 day.

Shuvo Janmashtami

Shuvo Janmashtami is the sacred day for the people of Hindu religion. There will be a general holiday throughout the country on this day. The holiday will be effective on September 2. The total holiday is 1 day also on this day.

Durga Puja

On October 19, there will be a general holiday throughout the country on the occasion of the holy Durga Puja of Hindu religion. the total holiday will be also 1 day on this day.

EID E MILLADUNNABI (S)

On 21st of November, the birth anniversary of the greatest Prophet Muhammad (s) will be the holiday in the whole country. The birthday of Prophet Muhammad (s) will be celebrated in proper religious dignity. A total of 1 day holiday can be enjoyed this day. EID E Milladunnabi (S) vacation is dependent on seeing the moon.

Victory Day of Bangladesh

Bangladesh achieved independence from Pakistan on December 16 after the 9 months long fighting. December 16 is our great Victory Day. On this day, there will be holiday throughout the country and all the martyred freedom fighters will be remembered. The total number of holidays for Victory Day is 1 day.

Birthday Of Zishu Christ

In the Christian religion, their Prophet Zishu (b) was born on December 25. The birthday of Zishu is known as the Boro din to them. On the Birthday of Zishu Christ, there will be the holiday all over the country on December 25. A total of 1 day holiday can be enjoyed during this time.

April 14 is the Bengali Happy New Year. On the occasion of the Bengali Happy New Year, it will be the holiday as per the executive order. Everyone will celebrate Pahela Boishakh through joy and enjoyment. There will be a total of 1 day holiday during Baishakh.

Shab E Borat

On the occasion of the holy Shab E Borat on May 2, there will be the holiday as per the executive order. However, Shab E Borat holiday is dependent on seeing the moon. The holiday will be effective according to the moon date. There will be a total of 1 day holiday on the occasion of Shab E Borat.

Shab E Kador

The glorious fateful night is Shab E Kodor. The probable date of the Shab E Kador is on 12th June. There will be a total of 1 day leave on the occasion of Shab E Kodor. However, the holiday is dependent on seeing the moon.

Ashura

Muharram 10 is the Ashura day which has witnessed the greatest sacrifice of Karbala and many incidents in Muslim history.
